Golf Buggy Hire UK - Frequently Asked Questions
Below is a list of frequently asked questions. If your question is not answered below then please contact us and we will be glad to assist you.
Q: Do you hire electric models to reduce our carbon footprint?

Yes we do but all electric vehicles are limited to how far they will drive on one full charge. We typically see events use the vehicles over large sites and long hours which would in many instances rule out the use of the alternative electric model. Once discharged, it takes 10 to 12 hours to fully recharge the batteries.

However - for instance we have specially selected the Workhorse ST350 which has a different method of starting the engine to many and only runs the engine when the vehicle is driving between two points and there is no chance of leaving it idling when not driving.

Our diesel models are being fitted with seat switches to reduce the risk of the vehicle standing with the engine idling away using fuel and emmitting fumes.

If you have further thoughts on this please email us on info@golfbuggyhire.co.uk

Q: Fuel for the petrol models?

First please choose a clean fuel container - then use unleaded petrol.

Most of our machines hold just under 5 gallons of fuel when full.

DO NOT SMOKE OR HOLD NAKED FLAMES WHEN REFUELLING.

Q: How can I get a free quotation without obligation?

To obtain a quotation first go to Vehicle Hire and select the buggies you wish to obtain a quotation for and add them to your basket.

Once you have added the vehicles you are interested in to your basket you can then go to View Basket where you will see a button at the bottom of the page that says Request Quote, which can be clicked to receive your quotation.

Q: JCB Groundhog scuffing round corners and difficult to steer.

Usually caused by the diff lock lever being permanently engaged.

To disengage the diff lock lever - it is the small lower black one positioned at bottom of centre console near footplate. Make sure it is in the upper position and sometimes you need to slowly drive the vehicle forward or backwards whilst steering from left to right to release the drive.
