- Q: How can I get a free quotation without obligation?
To obtain a quotation first go to Vehicle Hire and select the buggies you wish to obtain a quotation for and add them to your basket (cart).
Once you have added the vehicles you are interested in to your basket you can then go to the Checkout (the link at the top-right of every page) where you will see a button at the bottom of the page that says Request Quote. You can click this to receive your no-obligation quotation.
- Q: Do you hire electric models to reduce our carbon footprint?
Yes we do but all electric vehicles are limited to how far they will drive on one full charge. We typically see events use the vehicles over large sites and long hours which would in many instances rule out the use of the alternative electric model. Once discharged, it takes 10 to 12 hours to fully recharge the batteries. You can view all our electric vehicles for hire here.
However - for instance we have specially selected the Workhorse ST350 which has a different method of starting the engine to many and only runs the engine when the vehicle is driving between two points and there is no chance of leaving it idling when not driving.
Our diesel models are being fitted with seat switches to reduce the risk of the vehicle standing with the engine idling away using fuel and emitting fumes.
If you have further thoughts on this please contact us.
- Q: What do I need to know to charge an electric buggy?
All electric buggies will arrive with a charger which sometimes is fitted under the buggy seat and sometimes a seperate box. The charger has a 3 pin, 13 amp plug on the end which plugs in to any suitable 230v socket and maximum current draw will be 6.5 amps quickly reducing to half that amount.
A full charge takes approximately 8 to 12 consecutive hours depending upon how much use the buggy has been subjected to.....
All chargers are automatic and once plugged in it will take a moment before switching on and then charge until automatically switching off.

- Q: What type of fuel should I use for the petrol models?
First please choose a clean fuel container that complies to legal requirements - then use unleaded petrol.
Most of our machines hold just under 5 gallons of fuel when full.
DO NOT SMOKE OR HOLD NAKED FLAMES WHEN REFUELLING.
- Q: What are the correct tyre pressures for the vehicle I rented?
Workhorse ST350 @ 20psi
Kawasaki Mule @ 12 psi front & 24 psi in the rear
2 or 4 or 6 seat golf buggy or people mover @ 18psi
- Q: The John Deere Gator 6 x 4 vehicle I hired is scuffing round corners and difficult to steer. What am I doing wrong?
This is usually caused by the diff lock lever being permanently engaged.
To disengage the diff lock lever - it is the small lower black one positioned at bottom of centre console near footplate. Make sure it is in the upper position and sometimes you need to slowly drive the vehicle forward or backwards whilst steering from left to right to release the drive.
- Q: We have somehow lost the ignition key for our buggy and also misplaced the spare one you left. Can you please offer a fast solution to get us out of trouble
YES - we usually have an impressive solution but just need you to call us on 07834 457621 when you are standing beside the machine please.
- Q: The large belt that runs from the engine is really floppy and slack so is that why my buggy will not start?
NO - is the answer because when the engine is stopped or idling slow this big belt should always be floppy, however I do understand your logic.
When the engine starts and revs this belt will quickly tighten up and give drive but not before.
